Room 119 is occupied by YEP or better known as Youth Employment Program. YEP was founded in 1994 by Steve Adams. He wanted to employ the youth of Lemhi County. In 2002 the U.S.F.S made a $262,000.00 hiring commitment for projects putting Lemhi youth to work. The youth worked on weeds pulling, inventory of weeds, rangeland improvements, building fence, etc. The BLM has employed workers from the beginning, providing $25,000.00 per year for the programs first 2 years. The youth age range is from 14-25, most in their high school years. This program is open to both male and female workers.
